Spiller & Spiller is a family-owned law firm proudly serving clients across Jack County, North Texas, and the entire State of Texas. Founded in 1986 by James M. Spiller and his son, David Spiller, the firm was built on the belief that practicing in a small town demands broad legal knowledge and an unwavering commitment to solving problems, no matter how complex. That principle continues to guide our work to this day.

Now in its second and third generations, the firm is led by attorneys David Spiller and his sons, Mason and Reid Spiller—all graduates of Jacksboro High School. Together, they offer clients a strong blend of experience, energy, and strategic insight across a broad range of legal matters.

Spiller & Spiller maintains a diverse civil and trial practice, regularly representing individuals, businesses, municipalities, and institutions in matters involving general litigation and trial work, real estate and land use, oil and gas law, business formation and commercial disputes, family law and probate, criminal defense, creditor-debtor issues, condemnation and eminent domain, as well as healthcare and governmental matters.

The firm has a long track record of successful litigation, including multiple multi-million dollar jury verdicts in Jack County. We are equally adept at resolving disputes outside the courtroom through negotiation and mediation when it best serves the client’s interest.

David Spiller
Founding Partner
David Spiller is a seasoned attorney and partner at Spiller & Spiller, well-versed in multiple facets of the law including civil litigation, real estate, business, and governmental matters. A member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), David brings decades of trial experience to the firm and has mediated over 1,000 cases throughout Texas. In addition to his legal practice, he currently serves as the Texas State Representative for House District 68, where he continues his lifelong commitment to public service and principled advocacy.
